Owner of MAK Floral Design studio, Masha Zhyzhankova was born in Ukraine and in 2000 immigrated to the US. Masha graduated with a degree in graphic design from New York and fell in love with the flower district of the city. This inspired her to learn floral techniques at a local flower shop where she volunteered for several months. She also worked as a junior florist at Marriot East and the Waldorf Astoria hotels where she acquired experience creating large floral arrangements for lobbies. She also has a decade\u2019s worth of experience working as a freelance floral designer for high end event companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She is also a mother of a smart and talented daughter whose birth in 2008 inspired Masha to launch her own floral design company, MAK Floral Design. Her style is simple yet elegant and she brings her passion for nature and her skills as a graphic designer in every design she creates. Everything that nature has to offer from plants, flowers and moss to crystals and gemstones are incorporated in her creations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
